Summer Breeze Makes Me feel Fine
It’s been only four weeks since we launched Axal Leine and what a few weeks it’s been for me and Natalie. How many lessons we’ve learnt – how to launch a business remotely, during a pandemic, during a recession, during a wide ranging recruitment freeze, during a new way of life for us all – ‘lockdown’, whilst also home schooling our kids. Pheweeee!!
Well I’m very proud to say we’ve managed to remain positive, the sheer terror we both experienced only 6 weeks back at the prospect of launching at this time has been replaced with one of cautious optimism. This optimism being more than partly based on the huge amount of messages of support and by how well the launch of Axal Leine has been received; our first LinkedIn post has had over 20,000 views since it was posted mid April! Thank you all, it’s massively appreciated.
However this is most certainly a difficult time for many, the health & wellbeing of loved ones, of friends and family, at the forefront for us all, whilst financial concerns add to the stress and list of things to be worried about. With companies pressing pause on recruitment and people’s livelihoods at risk it is difficult to find silver linings, but there remains much to be optimistic about with a good deal of firms not only still on the lookout for talent and actually hiring.
Virtual recruitment of new staff is happening and we’re absolutely thrilled to be part of this, to be in a position to offer our support to candidates and clients. We’re fortunate enough to have a wide range of opportunities to talk with candidates about, and for our clients a superb range of excellent candidates from trainees through to directors.

Hasn’t it been magical being able to be out for such a long time, to meet with friends and family, from a distance, and all made so much easier with this cracking weather! Surf’s been fun too!! Keep it up folks and we’ll continue down this road to normality, not sure it will be ‘back to normality’, rather we’ll get used to a way of life which will become known as normality!!
