Although I have enjoyed all of my roles within the finance industry, I never quite thought I had found my ‘forever job’, there was always something missing. I originally trained to be a teacher as I’m very much a people person and love helping others. I found that, although I was helping corporate and HNW clients, I was missing helping people on a personal level.

In between working within the finance industry, I also took a year out to go travelling through Thailand, Malaysia, Australia and New Zealand. This was an amazing experience where I met so many different people from all over the world and spent time au pairing for a family in the Australian outback, experiencing a way of life very different to living and working in little old Jersey!

In 2022 I became pregnant with my little girl and took just under a year off with her. Whilst on maternity leave, I decided I wanted to find a job that understood work life balance, was flexible and family orientated, and very importantly let me help people on a personal level by putting to good use my experience of the finance industry. I’d worked with Axal Leine before when looking for a job so I was aware of what a fabulous and different recruitment agency they are and following several discussions with Renny, it seemed that joining Axal Leine would be the perfect fit.
